Testing the Water
Each time your pool technician comes, they’ll carry out testing of your water to ensure that it’s safe to swim in. If your water doesn’t have the correct balance, it could lead to irritation of the skin and eyes, damage to pool equipment or unhygienic swimming conditions.
Balancing the Chemicals
If your pool water is unbalanced after testing, your technician will add the necessary chemicals to ensure your pH is at the optimal level between 7.2 and 7.6
Backwashing or Cleaning Cartridges
At each service you can expect that your technician will carry out a backwash where necessary to ensure your sand filter can run efficiently. If you have a cartridge filter, this will also be cleaned (or the spare rotated)to ensure it’s free of dirt and debris.
Brushing and Vacuuming
Once the surface debris is removed, you technician will get to work scrubbing the sides of the pool to loosen stuck on dirt and debris. They’ll then use a vacuum to clear up the dirt which has fallen to the bottom.
Clear Skimmer And Pump Baskets
Debris builds up very quickly in the pool, especially if you have overhanging branches, and your technician will take care to clear out leaves and other debris from your skimmer and pump baskets.
Check Equipment
It’s not just about getting your pool looking clean. Your technician will also check to make sure all of your pool equipment is in good working order so your pools runs optimally between services. Feel free to ask your technician any questions you may have about your pool equipment!
