If you are passionate about cars then there is good news for you, as; there are many latest car technologies which are lined up for 2014. These technologies would not only provide luxury and comfort but also try to help the customers in many different ways. People always are ready for the latest technologies which are actually beneficial. Here are some details about the upcoming car technologies:
Automatic Brake Hold: The Acura RLX luxury sedan is coming up with ‘Brake Hold Button’ which is able to keep the brakes engaged for up to 10 minutes without the driver having to keep a foot on pedal. It is beneficial in situations like traffic or where you have to stop for a short duration.
Hidden Door Handles: Jaguar F- Type sports car includes a door handle that remain with the bodywork and deploy when touched or the car is unlocked via key fob. Once the car is driven off, the handles get back into the doors leaving a sleek aerodynamic surface.
Hydrophobic Windows: The new Kia Cadenza full size sedan is introducing a concept of hydrophobic windows. These windows are capable of shedding the rain water immediately from the window glass to help preserve outward visibility during heavy rainfall.
Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection with Full Auto Brake: This is a safety feature from Volvo which could be beneficial to avoid unfortunate collision of cars with bikes, or people walking on the road. The system alerts the driver if a bicyclist or a pedestrian suddenly appears in the car’s path and automatically applies the brake to prevent accident.
Semi- autonomous Driving: This system is in Mercedes Benz’s new E-class. It allows you to take control at low speeds, heavy traffic or on curvy roads. It automatically corrects the course if you move to a wrong lane or can even completely stop the car if required. It will be beneficial to avoid accidents due to driver’s carelessness.
Internet Radio: This technology has already started in new vehicles sold in Canada. Internet radios in a car are becoming popular and are in high demand. The technology is located on the dashboard and you just have to take out your Smartphone and launch the app you desire. These radios will use phone’s internet connection to get started.
Integrated Shop- Vac: The 2014 Honda Odyssey minivan offers a built in vacuum cleaner that is built in the rear cargo area, it is with a replacement filter and a canister bag. Honda has developed this technology with the makers of Shop-Vac.
Traffic signs Recognition: This car technology has already started in Europe in cars like Audi and Mercedes Benz. It uses front facing cameras to identify the road signs and combine that information with the data contained in today’s navigation system.
Hot Stone Massage and More: Mercedes Benz’s S-class has this exclusive feature of hot stone massage stone bucket seats which includes automated heated and cooled front seats. It contains 14 tiny air bags which inflate and deflate to stimulate occupant’s backside.
i-Eloop: Mazda6 sedan includes this feature which recovers the kinetic energy that might otherwise be lost during braking and store it to power the car’s electrical components like headlights, audio system and audio control. It also helps to save the fuel.
i-Key: The 2014 Infiniti Q50 luxury sedan allows upto four motorists to customize a wide range of operating parameters. It recognizes the user via his/her keyfob and adjusts everything from seat, mirror, etc.
I think these features are quite unique and offer something innovative which the users would like. Apart from inbuilt car features the demand for better automatic transmission exchange or rebuild is increasing. For 2014 these must also be developed. But as for now, I am excited about these latest technologies and looking forward for the response of the customers about these innovative features.
