Unlock potential benefits of Indalex ladders

They grip the surface they are perched on and prevent the top of the ladder from sliding while climbing or working. If you want, you can also buy a ladder stabilizer. This piece of equipment should be attached to a ladder and should span two feet. This adds extra stability to the top of the ladders. We don't use it but some do.

You can also add adjustable leg extensions on ladders. These attach to the foot of the indalex platform ladders and span about a foot. The great thing about this type of tool is that you can adjust one leg to be longer, which is great for working on uneven ground or ladders. Make sure you buy a good pair of extensions if you decide to add these. If you are using a heavy ladder then you will need a more heavy-duty extension. Also, this is not something that should be added to a large ladderway like a 40-foot extension because the ladderway itself is so heavy that the extension cannot handle the weight.

Easiest way to carry ladders

Well, then we've got you and your ladders covered. The next thing to look at is where you are placing the ladder. First, get where you need to be. The two easiest ways to carry a ladder are in a parallel or vertical position to the ground. You can put the ladder on your shoulder and position it where needed. For those of us who carry ladders from window to window, it is easiest to keep the ladder straight. Make sure the ladder is not extended and hold the bottom rung with one hand and use the other to steady it. If you move the ladder straight up, or when you are lifting the ladder, make sure you are away from any power lines. The last thing you want is to get an electric shock.

Next, you want to make sure the ground is as level as possible. Placing a ladder on an uneven surface will cause the ladder to tilt to one side which is extremely unsafe (leg extension will help with uneven surfaces). You'll also want to make sure the base of the ladder is the right distance from the wall it will be leaning against.
