You need a minimum of 4 sets of documents evidencing your eligibility and suitability to be granted a sponsor licence.

Application process and fee

The application needs to be made online and all the documents must be submitted.

The application for small businesses is £536 and for large businesses is £1,476.

You qualify for a small business sponsor if you have either less than 50 employees, your annual turnover is £10.2 million or less, or the cost of total assets is £5.1 million or less.

If you meet two of the above criteria, then you need to make an application as a small sponsor.

How long should I wait before hiring overseas skilled staff?

Generally, it takes 8 weeks for the Home Office to respond to your application. You may pay £500 to get the decision in 10 working days through priority service.
