He set his eyes on the beautiful daughter of the village chief and to have her as his life partner, he asked the villagers that if anyone will come in his way, he will charge them with heavy taxes. In the fear of paying heavy taxes, the villagers of Kuldhara field one dark night leaving behind their homes and everything to let the village get abandoned.
Many generations have passed but no one knows where those villagers have settled and what is known that they cursed the village that none would have ever been able to settle in the village. Since then it has been all deserted and barren all around the village.
