On pressing the carpet in place, the glue should be allowed to dry until it is completely set. Subsequently, the pieces of the medium-density board need to be turned over to ensure that the carpeted side touches the floor. This acts as a protection for the space in which the dance floor will be placed. A thin coating of wood sealant needs to be painted over the exposed edges and top of the board. The board should be allowed to dry completely, before it is moved. The dry and treated pieces of the medium-density board then need to be set next to one another, in order to create the desired shape and size of the dance floor with the exposed and sealed board side face up.
