The resmed cpap equipment typically consists of a resmed cpap mask and a bigger body which performs the processing of the air for relief during resting and treatment of the apnea ailment. This equipment is occasionally termed as sleep apnea disorder machine and has the same functionality. The apnea machines are quite heavy and not suited for continuous movement. As such the machine has to be installed at a particular position in a room and the affected person has to remain there during treatment or when he or she needs to sleep. To solve this problem of portability, newer and better technologies were utilized to invent a variant of the CPAP machines called the bi-CPAP machines. These machines are much smaller and portable, but are as good in the treatment as its larger old generation counterparts. The bi-CPAP equipment uses the mechanism of bi level continuous positive airway pressure which works on similar principles of the CPAP procedure.
The only difference is that the machine required to implement this new type of technique can be made much smaller and hence increases the portability quotient of the machine many folds. The main feature of such machines is to cover the face mainly mouth and nose of patient during sleep with the masks that provide the regulated pressure of air flow, generated in the main body of the machines. Thus, the oxygen levels are regulated as per the ease of the person taking the treatment and the regulated pressure helps him or her breathe in a normal way without any difficulties. In case you have such symptoms or know some who does, consult a doctor and get the CPAP treatment as soon as possible.
