5. BURN THE TREE STUMP



Yet another DIY method, but one that is potentially dangerous and for which you must check with your fire department




  • Cut down the tree stump to the ground level and Drill a hole inward in the centre of the stump of about 8 to 10 inches deep


  • Pour potassium nitrate into each hole and Pour hot water into each hole to dissolve the potassium nitrate


  • Pour kerosene into the hole and place scrap wood or cloth inside the hole and light the scrap wood


  • Allow the stump to smoulder until all the wood is turned into ash and then use your shovel to break the large pieces
