The System’s Perspective
No Hardware
With the advancement in the features provided, there is a huge upgrade in the hardware of the systems as well. Many companies keep their end users in their mind and design their products which are easy to use. So many systems have omitted the use of bulky or huge servers or hardware which is very difficult to maintain and use as well.
Accessibility
Another interesting feature is the ease of accessing the systems. Initially, the user had to use a separate device to use the system or be physically present at home to access it or use separate dashboards. But thanks to technology it has made our lives simpler and easier, today’s systems are usually web or app-based security systems which are accessible from anywhere and at any time through your smartphone or tablets or laptops.
Less Dependency
Previous systems had different buttons and settings to be changed every now and then which were complex and difficult to understand and do it on your own. So there was always a need for an operator to manage the system and it would become even more difficult if there was an issue with the system. But the modern security systems today do not require anyone to manage the system, everything can be operated using your smart devices.
Improved Protection
The old systems were usually hardwired systems which were very easy to disable and hence providing less security, its the same for the surveillance cameras as well. The reason why the systems are being updated or still working to make more advanced systems is to provide utmost security to its users in any use case or situation.
Real-time updates
The old systems used to alert or notify the owner only when if there was an emergency o danger. They did notify us but there was no timely updates feature which helps us have a view of what is happening. But the new age systems come with the option of getting real-time updates like if there is a visitor at your place, the entry/exit of the daily staff help or any deliveries happening, etc. This gives a quick insight into what is happening and if you feel anything is suspicious you will have the chance to immediately take an action before anything happens.
Easy Installation
Initially, there were huge systems which would almost take a lot of time to be installed.
Since the systems now do not require any bulky hardware to install, it doesn't take much time for the vendor to deploy it. The average time of installing any modern system is one weeks time.
