Rating & reviews (0 reviews)

Excelsia College is proud to now be delivering a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Master of Professional Accounting. Both courses are 100 per cent accredited by CPA Australia (Certified Practising Accountant) and CAANZ (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand).

Accounting demands a range of transferable skills, including quantitative, analytical, and decision-making skills. Our industry-renowned Business academics will help accounting students to develop a broad understanding of accounting and the environment in which it operates. Students will learn how to use contemporary accounting software Xero, develop the technical skills required to prepare financial statements, cashflow statements and business forecasts and undertake applied business projects, helping to enhance their employability on graduation.

The course is Overseen by Excelsia’s Head of School of Business, Professor Ian Eddie who describes accounting as ‘the language of business.’ The global profession provides qualified accountants with career opportunities in all organisations from small enterprises through to large global companies in roles such as a chief financial officer, chief accountant or financial controller.

Upon graduating, the student must undertake a minimum of 3 years professional work experience under an approved mentor organisation in an accounting position. They will complete the professional examinations of the organisation that they have applied to be a member of. Provided they pass their work experience and examinations, the graduate can then apply for organisation membership and use the post-nominal letter CPA or CA.

Places are available now for our Semester 1, 2022 intake!
