Asus definitely made it big this year. Since the second quarter of the 2013, they are making some news on their releases. And it is apparent from their sales and revenue that they already have a following and people love their products.

But this Taiwan-based company is not done yet. They still have plans to impress us with their new releases for 2014. On 2014, Asus is planning to join the ranks of Nokia and Samsung on the smartphone industry. They will join the bigwigs on providing the market quality phones. Apparently, the company was very much pleased with the success of their Android tablets and they want to take their chances on smartphones. In fact they already started and make a test run of this project this year through their PadFone and FonePad. But the company want to make more on the coming years and give the competition a run for their money.

Although Jonney Shih, chairman of Asus, admitted that they are late-comers in terms of smartphone production since the two companies mentioned earlier have been making waves on that field. But Shih and his gang still wanted to give it a try and as much as possible give their product a fresh and unique twist to appeal to the public. And they are also planning to give the Western region a taste of their products as they are set to conquer the American market next year. Many are already speculating on the kind of smartphone the company would release for next year.

But this giant PC maker will not leave their first love alone – their laptops and notebooks. Asus notebooks will still conquer the market scene as the company will plan to improve some of their products next year. The Web is somehow giving us some glimpse of their upcoming products. According to web grapevines, Asus will continue to collaborate with NVIDIA to make a gaming monitor that is sharper than the previous Asus gaming monitors. It is also reported that Asus will use NVIDIA technology to produce more outstanding notebooks.

It is known to many that Asus paved way to the touch panel technology and made it a norm among the users. Next year, it is said that Asus and Acer will contend with Acer on producing touch panel notebooks. Both companies are expecting big sales on touchscreen notebooks next year, banking on the sales result of notebooks shipment this year. According to the reports, sales of touch panel notebooks increased by up to 40% and it is likely to double on 2014 if the purchasing behavior of the users will continue on a steady rate, or better, increase. And both companies will be focusing on 2-in-1 models and other combo devices to add to their already jam-packed line of products.

Asus lined up other projects for next year. Asus’ collaboration with Google will continue until next year as Asus will released their own Chromebox, a tiny device not bigger than +Google  TV settup box.
