Changing out wardrobes provides you with an opportunity to parse through your clothes to figure out what doesn’t fit, what’s too worn out, and what you just don’t wear anymore. Once you take those clothes to your local thrift shop or clothes charity, it’s time to look to the newest fashions and women’s clothing sales online.
What’s hot for women’s fashion trends on the runway now is going to dictate what ends up in your local clothing shop and online retailer. Here are the latest trends for this spring:
Florals
These are not your average dainty flowers that normally adorn clothing at this time of year. No, these are loud, bold, and colourful florals for nearly every occasion you can think of. But don’t stop with only one piece of floral clothing. Go full out and wear a floral top, pants, and shoes to complete the trendy look for this spring.
Statement Stripes
If you can’t bear to wear florals in spring again, turn to the bold stripe which is making a statement this spring. In fact, fashion houses want you wearing stripes over florals. Similarly to florals, designers are aiming to get you into head to toe stripes. You’ll notice that overall the stripes will be quite blocky with only a few thin stripes coming through.
Mix Those Patterns
Mixing patterns seemed like a great idea when we were little, but we were quickly taught that you should wear one pattern with solid everything else. Well, someone’s inner child burst forth and told us to wear mixed patterns this spring. An easy way to go about this is pick a colour palette and buy patterns in that palette. This will make mixing and accessorizing easier.
Colours Everywhere!
What better way to rejoice in spring’s colours than adopting bright colours into our wardrobe. With the greys and blacks safely packed away, there should be nothing holding you back from breaking out the yellows, greens, and blues. And forget the traditional pastels of springs past. This spring is all about super-bright colours.
See Through Dresses
Not everyone’s excited about this trend, but it sure could be handy when the temperatures start climbing. More designers are including mesh and tulle material to make see-through patches on their dresses and shirts. Not every piece puts it all out there, making this trend more accessible. Plus, you always have the option of layering if you don’t like how much skin is showing.
Statement Earrings
We’re talking massive earrings here. And mismatching at that. Statement earrings no longer need to be reserved for the evening but are encouraged at all times of day now. Statement earrings fit in with the other trends we’ve discussed, as designers encourage heavy accessorizing with mixing and matching patterns.
