The Skoda Karoq
This may seem like a strange name, perhaps even stranger than “Yeti,” but Skoda asked people in Kodiak, Alaska to name the car and this is the result. Essentially, this is a small crossover SUV that draws inspiration from its larger stablemate the Skoda Kodiaq SUV. The Karoq in not quite as inexpensive as its competition and it’s priced at the entry level mid sized SUV price point. However, it should be noted that the Karoq is literally dripping with standard equipment and features.
Standard Equipment Specification
The Skoda Karoq has plenty of kit fitted as standard, such as an 8” infotainment touchscreen, a reversing camera, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, Bluetooth connectivity, audio streaming, an eight speaker sound system, a USB input, push button start, keyless entry, dual zone climate control, LED daytime running lights, LED tail-lights, roof rails automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, auto stop, and 17” wheels.
Option Packs for Customisation
If the standard Karoq specification isn’t enough there are three optional packs available to customise your experience:
- The Premium Pack
This option pack adds a full set of LED headlights, front parking sensors, stainless steel pedals, an electric tailgate, leather seat trim, and 18” alloy wheels. The interior also has cloth seats, a leather covered gear selector, a leather lined steering wheel and reversible floor mats.
- The Tech Pack
The Tech Pack makes it possible to operate the tailgate handsfree, and a drive mode selection is added. There are three personalised keys, the infotainment screen is upgraded to 9.2” with satellite navigation, there is a DAB+ digital radio, semi autonomous parking, wireless phone charging, and a Canton ten speaker sound system.
- The Travel Pack
This pack is great for those on the road for long periods, it adds features, such as blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alert, an electrically adjustable driving seat with memory locations, heated front seats and auto dimming side mirrors that fold automatically and have memory settings.
All of these optional packs can be purchased together, and this is known as a Launch Pack. This includes all of the features shown above, except for the Canton sound system in the Tech Pack.
