Rope Jumping
This simple exercise merely requires a rope or a thick cord. But as simple as it may sound, it is extremely effective in losing some weight. It gets your heart pumping and burns a few calories for sure, as you may have noticed from the amount of sweat you release during it. The certified trainers at JM Fitness recommend including it in your cardio routine on a regular basis to get maximum results.
Squat Jumping
Really effective for your legs and thighs, this exercise essentially combines two basic movements, squats and jumping. While squats will really strengthen your core and burn some fat from your lower back and thighs, jumping straight from a squat position will put your legs into test and help them get in shape. This exercise is also recommended for your leg day as a pre work out/warm up. However, if you have joint or knee issues, then you may need to contact your physician or trainer before doing some reps of it. You might as well consult JM Fitness in this regard!
Burpees
Perhaps, these are the simple and most effective of all cardio exercises, after running of course, you can do anywhere and get in flow to lose a few pounds. You don’t need any fancy equipment to do this. All you need is a bit of energy, enthusiasm and motivation to do a couple of reps. Although most of you would already know, but still for the sake of being thorough, you just need to alternate your body position between a plank and a jumping forward posture and that’s it. But you do need to make sure that your hands are straight and stretched as well as your back throughout this exercise. And don’t really push yourself in the initial days if you have just started your fitness journey to avoid any potential injury. We, at JM Fitness, also strongly recommend doing some reps of burpees prior to beginning the regular work out.
Jumping Jacks
Much similar to burpees, this exercise is especially useful to burn some fat from the thighs and lower back. You can burn as much as 100 calories in 10 minutes through this exercise, if done properly. In fact, at JM Fitness, we have even incorporated it into a circuit training including some other cardio exercises of the similar sort. Plus, the main advantage of exercises like these is that you can do them anywhere, whether at home or at work. Being this much simple they won’t disturb your daily routine.
Stairs Marathon
Alright, so this one is really simple. You just need to ditch using the elevator of your building and start using stairs for a few days and eventually you will feel the much-needed burn. It will also build up your lung capacity and give strength to your core and legs. But you need to make sure that you do it in manageable and bearable amounts and also take care of those calves of yours if they are prone to cramps. Again, if you have a knee or joint condition of any sort, consult your trainer or physician first. Anyway, you should start from small and gradually build up your numbers in this regard, otherwise it can cause extreme shortness of breath, which is not desirable.
Kickboxing
I know this one’s going to be the favourite of many of you. Surprisingly, besides getting you warmed up, kickboxing can also help reduce your weight by burning that extra fat from different parts of your body. And Much like jumping jacks, you can lose up to a 100-calories after a 10-minutes long proper session of kickboxing. We, at JM Fitness, strongly recommend this exercise, regardless of whether you are losing weight or not, as it strengthens your core a lot and proves to be a good pre workout stretch.
Well, these were some of the most effective and easiest cardio exercises if you are getting started on your weight loss journey. However, it is advised to take care of your diet along with it . Reduce the number of calories accordingly, not drastically. Also lower the amount of saturated fats, but better consult your trainer first.
